An Instagram audit is simply a structured check-up of your account to see what is working and what is holding you back. You can do a useful one yourself, for free, in under an hour.

1. Review your profile

Check that your name, bio, profile photo and link clearly say who you are, who you help, and what to do next. This is your shop window.

2. Check your Insights

In your professional account, look at reach, engagement and which posts performed best over the last month. Patterns here tell you what to make more of.

3. Audit your content and aesthetic

Scroll your grid as a new visitor would. Is it consistent, on-brand and clear about what you offer?

4. Look at growth and engagement

Track follower growth and your engagement rate (interactions divided by followers). Falling engagement is a signal to change your approach.

5. Set one or two priorities

Finish by choosing the one or two changes that will make the biggest difference, and focus there for the next month.
